# 1. Abstract

Season 4 brings a winter-themed chapter to Viction’s Retrodrop, turning the spotlight once again to the users who keep the chain alive, especially during a quiet market. Every swap, every stake, every NFT interaction, every quest completed matters. Retrodrop #4 transforms these actions into recognition, proving that Viction is built and sustained by its contributors.

Retrodrop Season 4 rewards active contributors with 1.25M $VIC, recognizing real on-chain participation across four key groups: DeFi activities, NFTs & GameFi interactions, VIC staking & governance, and campaign participation. This season continues to require minting an NFT badge as proof of participation, a necessary step to receive rewards.

# 2. Motivation

Viction grows when its users stay on-chain. Even in a cold market, participation keeps the network warm, active, and evolving.

Season 4 focuses on four core pillars of the ecosystem:

- DeFi interactions, the liquidity engine of the network

- NFT & GameFi participation, the heart of culture and creativity

- VIC staking & governance voting, supporting the resilience and direction of the chain

- Campaign participation, boosting activity across partner projects

The market may be quieter than usual, but this is exactly when meaningful engagement matters most. Season 4 acknowledges the users who continue staking to build the chain, playing games, collecting NFTs, or joining campaign quests that bring life to the ecosystem. Season 4 continues the improvement introduced in Season 3: Rewards are distributed only to wallets that own the Eligible NFT, ensuring participants actively verify their involvement and claim their ownership in the process.

Retrodrop Season 4 fosters recognition, encourages responsible participation, and reinforces Viction’s core ethos: Own What Matters, Own the Glory. This proposal introduces Retrodrop Season 4: Own the Glory – Proof Of Contribution, the fourth chapter in Viction’s Retrodrop series.

# 3. Retrodrop #4 Specifications

## 3.1 Allocation Models

A total of 1.25M $VIC will be distributed exclusively to users, categorized by participation across four major contribution groups:

- DeFi: Users participating in swaps, LP, bridging, and non-VIC staking

- NFTs & GameFi: Users interacting with NFTs or participating in gaming ecosystems

- VIC Staking & Governance: Users staking VIC or voting in governance proposals

- Campaign Participation: Users joining ecosystem quests, missions, and campaign activities

To ensure fairness and represent community intent, we propose three allocation models (subject to community vote), each emphasizing different priorities.

## Option 1: Snow Gazers - Equal Allocation

Every contribution counts equally. This model treats all sectors as equally important pillars of the winter ecosystem.

## Option 2: Snow Ball Fighters - Pro Frontiers

This model prioritizes Campaign Participation to reward contributors on chain that get the campaign badges.

Rationale:  
Snow Ball Fighters run into the snow, build momentum, and spark activity. Campaigns become the ignition point of Season 4 — rewarding users who show up, complete quests, and participate in ecosystem missions.

## Option 3: Snow Castle Builders - Pro Defenders

This model prioritizes VIC Staking & Governance, strengthening the chain’s core and rewarding those who safeguard Viction.

Rationale:  
Snow Castle Builders reinforce stability. In a quiet market, staking becomes a crucial defense layer, and governance remains key to community-driven evolution. This model amplifies rewards for those who hold the shield for Viction.

## 3.2 Eligible Users

Eligible users are those who:

- Successfully mint an Eligible NFT from the official Retrodrop Season 4 Winter Badge Collection, and

- Belong to at least one of the four participation groups defined in the allocation models

Minting the Eligible NFT is mandatory and serves as on-chain Proof of Contribution. Without minting, no rewards will be distributed, even if the wallet qualifies by metrics.

Eligible users may visit the Viction Web Checker ([https://retrodrop.viction.xyz/](https://retrodrop.viction.xyz/)) during the minting window to verify eligibility, then proceed to mint their badge on Dagora.

## 3.3 Governance and Voting

To pass, this proposal must reach a 1,000,000 $VIC quorum. The allocation model chosen by community vote will be executed for Retrodrop #4.

This ensures Season 4 reflects collective priorities under current market conditions.
